Shift in Research Focus to Specific Type A Components
Following the failure to consistently replicate the link between the overall Type A pattern and heart disease, researchers adjusted their approach. They began to investigate whether specific individual components of the Type A pattern, rather than the broad classification itself, were the actual predictors of heart disease.
